Things are going to be on hold for a bit while I nurse my daughter during her recovery from surgery.
As much as I love creating for SL, real life is always my priority. My daughter has been sick for months, possibly years. It finally came to a head recently when we discovered, after finding her liver enzymes are elevated, that her gall bladder was barely functioning. It was so bad that surgery was a necessity. She's now had it out, and they biopsied her liver to make sure it's ok. Now it's recovery time. She's my #1 priority right now, so that means SL is on the backburner.
I know I mentioned I had to pull back a while back, due to issues in RL. I hope that once she's fully recovered (about a month) and back in school (she missed most of last semester), I'll have some time again for my favorite hobby. I've spent the last few nights up every few hours to check her vitals, change her ice packs, check her incisions and make sure she was comfortable. Mom is exhausted, but have a few more days of recovery before she's able to be on her own a bit more. Still, I will be glues to her side as much as I can, encouraging her to eat, to move so she doesn't get stiff and more sore, to entertain her and keep her company while she heals. I look forward to coming back, and will try to sneak in some work when I can. One positive note is that soon, once I'm back on routine, I will be able to produce items with animations. I personally detest setting animations, but my dear friend has decided to learn how so that he can help me out with it. I look forward to this new partnership and what we will be able to bring you! Until then, I am always reachable through email, SL messaging (or notecards), and Facebook.
